Well, I wouldn't bet that INTC/STM wont continue to toss good money after bad. For some reason INTC, in particular, seems to have a very hard time reading the handwriting on the wall.

IMHO the closing of the Numonyx deal is the kick-off-point for the appreciation of Spansion stock.

Personally, I think SPSN having made the commitment in both technology and capacity, will do well no matter what Numonyx does. As of the merger SPSN seems even better positioned to at least dominate the NOR flash market. Given the now combined talents of both companies I expect we'll be soon seeing more innovation coming at a faster pace.
