I think government CAN do things efficiently and well. I think ahhaha's response is sufficient here, would you be in GLD if you thought the government was doing a bang up job? Where's the woman that had her picture taken with Al Gore? Was that an "evil" twin?<g> I wasn't getting my picture taken with Al Gore, although he is is hard to miss in that picture and does sort of have his hand perilously close to my ass (I'm sure without intention), I was getting it taken with one of my photography clients, Mary Elizabeth! Mrs. Gore is quite an accomplished photographer, I worked on her book. amazon.com I did have to pass a background check to get into the Vice President's Residence but I seriously doubt they let me pass on the basis of my political beliefs. There are actually a few conservative Democrats left who don't think the government is the answer to all problems and it should be kept in check.... although I have to admit they tend to get shouted down during elections.
