This whole insurance thing is one reason I lean toward the Dems. As a self employed trader, when I lived in NYS the choices for health insurance were next to nil due to regulation in that state. I had insurance thru a small agency that had us join a 'union' to get coverage. To make a long story short the whole thing turned out to be a scam and I'll spare everyone the details. When I moved to another state I was sweating bullets worrying about whether we would get approved for health insurance, the choices where I am now were better but still expensive and limited. We were approved because we have not seen doctors in many years except for routine checkups, but this whole issue begs for a resolution and I'm sure keeps many would be entrepreneurs chained to their companies.

Regards,
John

PS - There is an SI thread on univeral health care that has had some spirited discussion on the topic if anyone is interested...
