A few political leaders are upset with China's treatment of Tibet and they may stay away from the opening event.

I have never been to China but I have heard the air there is terrible. Most visitors are always glad to get back to the cleaner Ca air.The visit to China often reshapes their thinking and helps them appreciate the "environmentalist whackos" here in Ca.

I would be concerned if I was an athlete. Hard to say what kind of damaging matter might be floating around in aerosol form.
