And even if we pull every soldier out of Iraq and Afghanistan, soldiers will still have to be paid.. fuel will be burned in vehicles.. bullets/shells will be fired for training.. Just not at the current level they are. What the BLEEP are you talking about? We are spending between 12-15 BILLION PER MONTH in Iraq, is that necessary, NO. Would those be costs we would have to pay anyway? HELL NO. Is the Iraq war worthwhile, NO. Women, who Bush apologizers never seem to talk about but who make up half of Iraq are MUCH WORSE OFF since we killed Saddam than their previous life, before. On the larger matter of finance. 4 trillion was spent. The dollar has been cut in half. Total national debt DOUBLED. The return of stagflation.... all because of this massive wasteful spending. Your ridiculous claims that we would have had to spend 12-15 billion PER MONTH just to maintain a military is laughable but that doesn't include the OTHER 1.5 trillion of associated wasteful costs to support this war. Have you noticed Bush approval numbers lately and "right track wrong track" figures? Again, we went into this decade with a strong dollar and a surplus. Now we are in a dollar crisis in front of 60 million retiring baby boomers. 4 trillion was spent and the debt was doubled, to pay for a stupid war and pork. guess what- if the USA can't pay its military bills within our current budget constraints we aren't going to have a military period. Do you know how long we as a nation can last with a cost structure that DOUBLES our debt every 4 years from this 8.5 trillion dollar starting point? About 30 years, thats it.
