Octavian,

You can view sentiment charts at:

forbestadvice.com

Select Market Sentiment Indicators, then AAII Charts, then the first AAII Bulls chart. Chart covers the periods you are interested in.

According to the latest numbers, the bullish sentiment was 68.22% (bulls/bulls+bears), and the 4-week moving average increased to 65.91%. Still a lot of bullishness in this sentiment indicator.

--IOW, the 68.22 bullishness sentiment figure in 2000 compares with the recent 40.87. Is that correct?

If so, I don't understand where Hussman is coming from. I guess he's analyzing a number of bears, rather than just the 2000-2002 bear. But anyway, it's interesting that there is a lot less bullishness now than there was at a comparable point in the 2000-02 bear.

Thanks for the info.
