I am continuing to work on my idea for a new cabinet position of Tooth Fairy. Not sure just yet what the qualifications should be.

I think Hillary Clinton might be interested in the idea, however. In fact, should Obama get the nomination, and should she refuse to run as V-P, and should he win, I think she would make the perfect appointee.

Distributions of money would work at both ends of the age spectrum. Each child losing baby teeth would get $500 for each one, to be applied to future educational expenses. And each person over the age of 65 would get $5,000 for each tooth lost or already lost. Since the cost of implants is about like that, it seems a fair amount; but as with the current tax "rebate," it could be applied wherever the snaggle-toothed old coot (or cootress) wished to use it.
