I think it's a terrible term.

And yes I forgot St. Johns to the final 4. Remember St. Bonaventure (will Bob Lanier hurt no less) to the final 4 in 1970? Jacksonville (Artis Gilmore) to the finals in 1970 only to lose to UCLA. The Indiana State team with Larry Bird that was undefeated until they lost to Magic Johnson and Michigan state was only a Mid-Major? I gotta laugh.

CCNY & Texas Western (beat mighty Kentucky) another 2 mid majors who won championships along with Nova, Cincinnati, Loyola, Marquette, Louisville, Georgetown, LaSalle, San Francisco 2, UNLV. Marquette the 1977 champ with Butch Lee, Jerome Whitehead and and Bo Ellis was just a lucky senior laden mid major?
Or UNC-Charlotte who made it to that final 4 with Cornbread Maxwell was just a Mid? Who remembers what conference they are in.
Did U. Conn have a football team in 1999? Some peoples definition of a mid major.

So Mid-who? No wonder Mid Majors don't like the term.

How did North Carolina get that home court advantage? Refs letting them get away with everything.
