Here's the Fed, taking time out for a sec from tossing hundreds of billions at the banks and now the brokers as well, putting $29 billion into Chase's cup to seal the deal for Bear. And here's the Fed taking the junky leavings of Bear as collateral and slipping them into its capacious fold. And here's the Fed setting up its version of one of those structured investment vehicles for itself and the billions of problematic assets it's slated to own and hiring BlackRock to liquidate them. Crazy, man.

You ever been to Stepford, TX? I hear it's just outside of Crawford.
