CB, the histories are very different :O) Actually many times the Tibetans have invited the Chinese... in there own self interest as recored in history. I don't see that is the case with Iraq and America.

As to worrying.. Tibet is not causing the US any problems but talking about it can take eyes off Iraq I suppose. Iraq is a sinkhole for US wealth and lives..
