Thanks, I'll sign up for the online access. Need to buy new camera, camcorder, and printer. CR should help whittle down the insane plethora of choices.

CB,2 years ago we bought a 40 inch HD Sony LCD TV with PVR.. paid way too much..but was worth it at the time. This Sony only draws 230 watts which is very good compared to Plasma.Similar plasma draws over 500 watts with the even larger plasma's going well over 700 watts ...equivalent to running a small toaster.
Go to the store and put your hand on the back of the demo models ...you will feel the heat. For me, Plasma was out.
Sony has a new 11 inch TV on the market 3 CM thick and only draws 34 watts goes for around $2000 so the technology is rapidly changing.

Be sure to give full consideration to the rear projection models.

Much more bang for the buck, with full HD capability.

The knock was always bulkiness but current designs are quite sleek. The only real stop might be an inability to hang on the wall.

Recently bought a 65" Mitsubishi rear projector HDTV on Amazon for $1500. Free shipping, free stand, no sales tax.
