Well, corporations are still run by people, albeit using a different set of rules. And for some reason, individuals seem to be able to better divorce themselves from accepting responsibility for illegal and/or amoral behavior if they do it while acting for a corporation rather than themselves directly -- maybe it puts their actions into the realm of a "game" where the consequences seem less real and are therefore not really considered, I do not know

What I do know is that nobody in the financial world gives a shit about anything anymore other than "getting theirs", and that includes the biggest of the institutions who are standing in line to have their losses guaranteed and absorbed using taxpayer dollars. IMO the wealthy upper class is currently perpetrating what are essentially human rights violations against the middle class by this bailout for the rich

I can however envision the anti-establishment anger of the 1960s possibly making a revival here. Who knows, with a little bit of encouragement, maybe we'll even see a replay of late 18th-century France
