When last heard from you on this thread you were claiming there would be McDonalds and Walmarts in Baghdad by now... and that the human sacrifice was worth it for those businesses. I don't know about "by now" -- but I do think they're moving toward democracy, and the extent to which it is to our advantage (as well as theirs) cannot be overestimated.
