Hello Pezz, Today's Report:
I bought two tranches of China Mining (no point providing link to fundamental anything) finance.yahoo.com @ HKD 0.92/share because it might go up by 8x and surprise me, and

I bought three tranches of Chaoda Modern finance.yahoo.com @ 8.88 because owning a genuine producer of veggies serving China population and worked on by soon to be blessed farmers is in alignment with ruling imperative of redistributing wealth from Chinese cities to farms.

Both positions are meant as LTBH wagers, meaning the sort of bets where moolah is put on the table and then I keep my eyes shut tight.

hello pezz, today's report:

on way to 7-days holiday on happy isle where the food is spicy and pool is cool

understand local temperature is at 86 F / 30 C, cloudy at the mo but generally sunny

bringing two books,

(i) re-reading to refresh memory "The Great Swindle", Virginia Cowell's excellent account of South Seas bubble, mentioned here gold-eagle.com

(ii) before moving on to a newly collected volume of books.guardian.co.uk "A Very English Deceit" that tells the same story from various personal angles

figuring on discerning the truth about how best to prepare for and survive the dark interregnum.

As is usually the case with my holidays, the markets may well go dire again, and if so, not to worry, I will be with you via cyber link enabled by poolside wifi.

Chugs, TJ

hello pezz, just finished main course of roast lamb chop garnished with pine nuts, olives, and roasted garlic

starter was seafood chowder

drink was apple / tyme martini - fresh seasonal bonza apples shaken with homemade thyme syrup and infused with tanquerey gin, lifted with apple liqueur and finely balanced with freshly squeezed lemon juice - served straight up

now, dessert - thai sticky rice with mango and ice cream

rice shortage is a nasty rumor

will take italian cooking lessons with chef from them parts

readying to do some option trades for walking around moolah to pay down obligations to be incurred for this holiday

suggestion: do not short gold

hello pezz, today's report: woke up at 5:00am with an angry appendage and had to use wife to subside said anger.

clicked on cnbc for 5 seconds, noted price of gold, which summed up all news in galaxy, and then took a swim, to become one with the universe

breakfasted on spanish omelette

waiting for lunch

thinking about dinner

trying to decide when to nap

passing comment on some thread discussions:

- conflict over persia must be embraced

- gold has no counterparty

- qcom will never be

- tibet has always been what is

- collapse is proceeding, per script
