The EUR is partly backed by subprimes. This is evidently bearish. Without much fanfare, the ECB has quietly set up a multibillion TSF operation to save Spanish Banks which otherwise would have gone under. Another big part is Italy ....

In earnest would you like to have a major company in your portfolio whose numbers shall not be relied upon?
