IMHO the problems in IRAQ were very much intensified by the bickering at home. Has America had a united front the world would likely have had one two and at the very least the terrorists would have thought twice before deciding to take America on in Iraq.
As to the border thing, I happen to be in the camp that basically agrees with Bush. Its impossible to ship all illegals back home EVEN if we could find them. However, I always have been for TOUGHENED border security and employer penalties ALONG WITH the program to eventually legalize illegals. Perhaps I differed there with Bush. I live now in N.M. very close to the border and there are substantial problems with drug dealers on the Mexican side of the border in Juarez and Los Palomas (two American shopping areas in Mexico). This if nothing else PROVES the need to have a strengthened border to keep this very dangerous criminal element from spilling into our side. jdn

We don't have to all be 100% behind the President everytime on every issue....but once the decision is made as we make decisions in this country(this time by a Congressional vote) and we have troops in the field the partisan bickering needs to stop.....and we should not be hearing "Bush lied", "Bush is a war criminal" and similar BDS inspired pinheaded claptrap.......its not in the best interest of the country or the troops while they are putting their lives on the line....there will be plenty of opportunity to second guess once the fighting is done....and as a matter of fact I would hardly be mistaken for a Clinton supporter but once the decision was made to send troops to Bosnia or Haiti or anywhere else during his term....my kibbitizing on the decision stopped...
