So you have been there. Did you count? Up to 1,000? Randomly all over China by GPS co-ordinate?

If you stand on the platform of the City Line at Waterloo station in London at 8am, you would think that there has been mass murder of women.

Statistical analysis requires numeracy.

Sometimes, you might be surprised to learn, people have bias. For example, most blokes notice women. Especially alluring ones. They can't help themselves. It's genetic. They don't notice manhole covers so much.

Walking down a street, men would remember women, but not many would know how many manhole covers they walked past.

If you wander around Beijing, even if half the females in China were missing, there would still be lots of them.

You are misinformed by your own eyes and mind, but also, I guess, by your obedience to your masters. Stockholm Syndrome victims don't even know they are victims.

In democratic systems, most people are happy to be nothing more than state serfs. When given an opportunity, they vote decade after decade for more of the same.
