"Over a 30 year life, its even more attractive. Total costs $9 billion. Or $300million a year. Which is $600 per house or $50 per month. "

Thanks for the analysis. It makes economic sense. 1/3 of bill for generation, 1/3 for storage and transmission and 1/3 for profit and overhead.

I use very little AC as I get free cooling from living close to hills where summer fog comes in and I can suck it in at night with fans to cool my house... but even then, my electric bill in CA is about $100 a month on average. If I used more AC or had a family, I could see $150 a month.

Lower profit, overhead, transmission and storage and it makes even more sense.
