Upon reflection, HRC deserves some credit for really toughening Obama up....

TARA, this is not going to be a year of traditional politics. This is the year of Generation X. Hillary did nothing to toughen up Obama. She raised the race issue for her benefit, not to toughen Obama. Guess what. Obama saw it coming and he had a brilliant and bold response within two days.

Kerry cam up on the Convention stage and delivered a speech which seemed to indicate, I have served my country, I have sacrificed for my country and now I am here to serve you as your President. I think that is not the way to start. That famous line "Past performance is no guarantee for future results"

Same with Hillary. I am Clinton. I am a woman, a oppressed class. Look at my and my husband's past. The Presidency is owed to me based on my past. And today she is putting up a fight of her life.

Obama talks about the future most of the time. He does not glorify the past like Kerry and Hillary. Instead he deftly points out the weaknesses and sets forth a path to rectify the past. Hillary tried to focus on his past (Wright) and he moved swiftly to douse the flames. And today, he is closing in on the white men vote in PA. He has already blunted the knife on racism.

My takeaway: Dwell in your past at the risk of being swiftboated.

Hillary "toughening Obama up" is a joke.
