If there was any doubt that Saddam had wmd's it was dispelled when he allowed inspectors back in, -- even into his bathrooms when they asked, or the U2 overflights, anything that was asked. He had a lot more to lose with those inspectors than he could have ever gained in security.

It was clear to any thinking person that the only WMDs would be some kind of old lost munition in a disposal dump. Of course there are a lot of people who pretend that nobody could have known there were no wmd's. Anyone with half a brain and half a conscience would have known that the wmd argument was a lie.

A caveman could have seen it.
