>>Senate leaders agree on housing relief.<<

They're from the government, and they're here to help.....LOOKOUT!<G/NG>

No wonder gold was so strong today, Clowngress is gonna kick it up to notches unknown to man (and currency)....

So they expect local governments to buy up the unsold inventory....? Like local governments wanna put on more debt just as their tax base has evaporated (not-so-ironically due to the imploding housing bubble). Sounds like a non-starter to me, but hey they can say they "did something"....

I can't believe these idiots are still discussing bailouts of any kind, let alone continuing to entertain crap like this while in the same breath they're chastising the oil industry for having too many tax breaks

Getting back 4 years of taxes paid during their best years ever???
--
The most costly element of the bill would allow homebuilders and other companies that are presently losing money to reclaim taxes paid up to four years ago instead of the two-year period currently permitted.
