today's scmp item: Headhunter Barons' estimates the average salary of Chinese banking executives has surged 30% annually in the past few years. A department head working in a foreign retail bank on the mainland fetch a monthly salary of about 110,000 yuan a month (US$190,000 / year) while a middle-level unit head may earn between 30,000 and 70,000 yuan a month. (US$52,000 - 120,000 per year). "The pay scale has already caught up with counterparts in Hong Kong," Mr. Chang of Barons said.

It was sticking out like a sore thumb. < One of the reason why so many international manufacturuers establish factories in China IS because of the high quality of work from the CHINESE WOMEN. All the clothing apparels, toys, electronic components, and all the tiny fine arts are as a result of the hard work of the CHINESE WOMEN. I was very impressed and I have to say they are the best manufacturing workers in the world ... no other race of people can compete with them. > Especially not Negroes eh?
