If you think that the belligerent use of Presidential power will be less under either Hillary or Obama or McCain then you are very naive. Once power is taken it is used.

I suppose we're all entitled to our opinions and forcasting the future and I was only talking Obama..as for naive? I consider that an insult and request an apology.

So much has been attributed to Bush------that sometimes I think he must be all powerful and is able to walk on water.

I'll let investigations do their job.

It's good that you are taking an interest in the Obama, campaign and being active in it. That's the American way

Wholesale, unadulterated condescension and you know it..I demand an apology.

And please do apologize to this thread for your history of mocking Obama, his wife Michelle and Democrats on other threads while coming here as a purportedly objective party. Thank you.

PS..you still have to get used to Obama as your opponent..

GWB from the date of the iraq war on has been one of the worst presidents in US history. But from 9/11/2001 thru 2003, he helped this country greatly and i thank him for that successful albeit brief period of his presidency. So many things went wrong. We can blame dick cheney all we want but the truman adage about the buck stops here comes to mind.
We will never know how gore might have done. He certainly couldnt have been as bad between 03 and 08 but i still wonder how he would have reacted to 9/11. My guess is the same as bush but we will never know. What i do remember from back then is many folks, mostly dems in my universe, saying thank God gore wasnt president during 9/11. Thats in context and very telling.
Good news is that in 2009, bush wont be president any longer. Any of the 2 1/2 candidates left has a chance of being a great president. I dont dismiss any of them. I also wont worship any one of them. If the election were held today, i certainly would vote for obama. But, one never makes up ones mind until the real campaign begins and thats not until the late summer.
