slacker, I have family on verizon. my wife just upgraded to blackberry pearl, unlimited data 29 bucks a month. not bad, lot better than I thought it was going to be. It will also work as modem to be hooked up to your laptop, but there was an additional fee which seemed high, somewhere around 50 dollars a month. I dont know if that was additional or total. I agree, there will not be widespread adoption until these prices come down, but they are headed down. The sweet spot for me at least would be around 15-20 per phone, with three kids. I wonder if part of the issue is network capacity, that they dont want this to roll out that quickly.
