Seems to me I've seen statistics that clearly show "concealed carry states" have lower crime rates. I'm in favor of carrying, provided the carrier demonstrates safety and mental stability by completing a police sanctioned course. It's legal here in Colorado to have a weapon with you as long as it's in plain sight. No permit required, unless you want it concealed.
