Of course, in his world he is objective and thoughtful and everyone else are traitors and don't think about anything deeply. I think there are others who are thoughtful and objective. But a very, very small proportion of them are liberals. Liberals can be objective but seldom are; and I have met very few liberals who I can really say were "thoughtful". It is the reason that artists and Hollywood types are liberal; they don't have the capability to think analytically. As a general rule (to which there are obviously exceptions), people who are liberal are not competent to think analytically. IMO. That may also account for their inability to balance a checkbook or understand taxation.
