ok. But with my 'fixed-rate income' being chopped by 1/2,
it's going to take an extra year or 2 to provide him enough
downpayment, unless he can get no/low down and IR loan.
Worth a try given SV RE is not going to drop much anyway,
probably will be flat to slightdown. He is renting a room
in a condo at border of "SanJose / cupertino".
