LIAR. The Kennedys were enemies of McCarthy after McCarthy switched parties and turned into a fascist rightwing demagogue. The friendship with the Kennedys was only long before he changed, when McCarthy was a reasonable man. He later became possessed like a Nazi with the zeal to persecute half the country. Similar to the way the rightwing was behaving after 9-11. That's when creeps like Anne COlter started their campaign to revise history and turn McCarthy into some kind of a patriot. In fact, he was as fascist as you can get, as well as being totally dishonest.
