I'm not an accountant, and I'm not about to play one on the thread....does that mean that SIV's have been shivved (or shanked, 86'd, banned, booted, busted, barred?)

It would stand to reason that the only chance of getting anything remotely resembling the truth in earnings statements of financials will be if auditors demand it. Given their behavior in the Enron fiasco (where there morals were somewhat beneath the local crack whore) I'm not holding my breath. Does this change anything for them (more than theoretically?)
