I agree; I wouldn't do that at all. But you can write off anything that comes from CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, NYT, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, etc.

Unfortunately, most of the news comes from major news agencies like AP that are just totally liberally biased.

On the Basra situation, different people will different interpretations, but what we know is that al-Sadr backed down. While the news media may color that as being a Win for al-Sadr, that doesn't make it the truth.
