"Totally inconsistent with the facts. " So, you are still in denial over this. "The facts are that the local officials were totally incompetent." That they may have been. But FEMA was no better. I call your attention to what happened after Rita. They had an easier case there. Most people had vehicles and evacuated. And FEMA responded with the same degree of incompetence that they showed in Katrina. Here in Bryan, we have several pods stuffed with generators, bottled water and emergency equipment. And they sat here the whole time. Same thing across the state. Only FEMA can authorize their movement. They never did. But, there were pods in the area. However, no one at FEMA would authorize their use. A judge finally ordered the local law enforcement to break them open so the generators and equipment could be put to use for the emergency workers in the area. And the list goes on. It took nearly two years for the first federal funds to arrive in the Beaumont area. Considering the incompetence shown was on the same order as Katrina, it makes your thesis that it was only the locals more than suspect.

The federal government responded appropriately. It is pathetic, however, that the politics got so wound up that federal government officials felt compelled to apologize when they did nothing wrong to begin with. You are frightening in your ignorance......ice intended for hurricane victims who needed it badly ended up all over the country except where it was needed. That's just one of many mistakes made by FEMA. Badly needed trailers were rotting in an Arkansas field while hurricane victims were left homeless. Medical supplies that were desperately needed were on a slow boat from SC two weeks after the hurricane hit. The list of FEMA screw ups goes on and on and is huge. The sacrifice for such abysmal incompetence was the firing of Brownie. Your ideology has failed big time at so many different levels that the fact you continue to post here shows how incompetent you must be.
