Jim Webb fits the bill perfectly, and probably never set foot in a Swiftboat.

There is reason to believe Kerry may end up as Obama's VP. His good Cheney, so to speak. Obama has many choices, but Kerry is someone he certainly can trust, and Kerry would be interested in being "co-president".

fak (excuse me) veterens. being in a trench gives no understanding of foreign policy. surely we have not become such a militarialistic (won't correct the spelling as like that one) nation that you have to weild a sword(gun) to apply? did being a prisoner of war teach mccain anything but to call them 'gooks' and hate them? a running mate? maybe someone who is willing and able to learn on all subjects. besides, it is the cabinet that matters, not the vp. too many thought chaney was oh so better than icky kerry's running mate. but if i was to choose i'd go with... uhm... dunno yet. but don't think can't pick a woman as none have foreign policy cred. and, really... maybe you not paid enough attention to all the women in 'power' if you think none have but albright.

i think it is time to step away from military bonifides, as obviously america has for many an election. is funny, in a sad way, it should be brought up.
