I'm not saying anything about a wire. Those words came from whoever wrote the Business Week article. It is very likely that he or she got the "wired" part of their story all wrong but not the flavour of the TD-SCDMA launch. It is hard to find any positive articles on that matter and the number of handsets that seems to have been made available is almost pathetic. Obviously, the status quo in that neck of the woods can't continue. I was just speculating that they might just as well jump on board LTE like the rest of the crowd.

In 1999, we got w-cdma. In 2002, we got TD-SCDMA and in 2005 we got WiMax. Now we're getting LTE ...

The variants kept coming and coming while GMS grew and grew and 3g cdma hobbled forward. A change of perspective within the whole telecom industry is long overdue and that includes Qualcomm's Han Solo Ways.
