Are you sure you this forum is the right place for you?

Message 24472383

I mean, as you must surely realize, I personally welcome contrary opinions. But are you lost or something? I mean clearly, you don't think a lot of Russ, or the "rules of the game" on this forum. Care to comment?

You know, I used to moderate a couple forms on Stockhouse. Both forums were dedicated to discussion about different wireless companies - one involved in WiMax technology, the other in GPS and precision farming. Eventually, in both cases, we took the forum private. In both forums, there was a core community that wanted to learn, were genuinely interested in understanding the companies' respective business models, and typically were investors in the respective companies.

Anyone was welcome to join the forum, but the forum was strictly moderated, and basically the criteria for entry were two-fold: (i) a sincere interest in both companies, and (ii) that communication be respectful. Diversity of opinion was highly encouraged, including criticism of both companies, and even the perspective of people on the short side of the market.

Once the forums went private, it removed so much crap on the boards. I hope this forum doesn't come to that, but I'd prefer that option that to have to put up with either (i) disrespectful communication, or (ii) insincere communication and an intent to mock the core ethos of the forum.

If your sentiments towards this forum are truly those that you posted on the Clown board, then I respectfully suggest that perhaps you not post on this board. Just a suggestion.

Best wishes,
Glenn
