We need some Top Military Leaders and some Congress people who actually care about America to get together discuss the crossroads of where we are right now. And what will be appropriate for the future next 5, and then 10 years? What might be the explosive that could set the world against each other again, on a global scale? But above all, we need to have some reassurance that there are US Leaders who really in fact are planning ahead. Not just warming their chair until they retire but real, hard, planning. I honestly think GWB has tried to do this, but Congress has been so far over the top, and has undermined every single proposal, that most of us don't have any faith that much has been done. Only an immense amount of money spent....Chertoff doesn't help give me, and I'd guess, any of us any feeling of security either.
