It's comforting to know that systemic gap risk from Bear
failure as a counterparty on its 13.4 Trillion notional
derivatives positions was estimated by qualified professionals
to be 400 billion, all
the Fed has left on its account to backstop the meltdown,
so these positions were backstopped by JPM before they
could blow up -g- Then there is Citi, with 38 Trillion
notional, LEH, and quite a few others, and the mortgage
meltdown continues ...
