Wow. What if everyone under water stops paying their mortgage? The math:

Assuming 15M houses under water by end of this year (a figure I vaguely picked up from somewhere).

Assume average price 200k, and the loss to the banks at 20%.

That equals 15M * 40k = $600 billion.

I think we need another round of Fed cuts and $600 rebate checks.
