Lot of good that did in allaying the fears of the D.C. snipers, for example.

You're of the mentality that we should just surrender to the notion that terrorism will be a part of life, just like natural disasters, disease, and drunk driving. The truth is that we can do something about terrorism, at least the kind that the mainstream media covers every day, but won't call out because of political correctness.
