I would guess the person was talking about the specific store credit cards, not visa/mc.

These balances are usually at interest rates over 20%. Then there are people bringing in checks for the full amount, but they are BALANCE TRANSFER checks.... they are just moving it to other cards" are you an apologist for the system that is rotting, and a cheerleader for the establishment? have you not yet learned the orientation lesson that says we have been in a gold standard depression, and soon enough will enter a nominal dollar gdp debacle where no amount of new debt will move gdp up one iota?
