It's funny, about the only time I came across a gang of kids like that, was walking back alone to the condo complex I was staying at in Angra. It was almost dusk, and it was just me and them. I thought, oh, oh. They saw me and looked worried and nervous, like I was the bad guy out of some Hollywood crime movie. When I walked by they froze, and then looked relieved when I didn't pull out an automatic weapon. Complete opposite reaction to what I expected. Maybe it was the black bag I was carrying?
