Steve is half-right. The article says that cops matter, along with community involvement and better communication. In other words, all the methods that help catch the bad guys, i.e. criminals DON'T get away with it.

The notion that a bad economy is contributing to the rising crime rates only fits in the liberal mindset, which dictates among other things that we've been in a recession ever since Clinton left office.

If you want to stretch your "people are terrorists because they are poor" to apply to Americans which have now been taught for generations that it "isn't their fault" to be lazy, carry on.
