I know there is no nuance there. You are the one who claimed there was. I am glad to see you backing away from that.

I am not trying to do anything but point out what really happened. The Republicans and Bush were totally unconcerned with terrorism in general and Islamic terrorism in particular. Remember the claims that his attempts to nail bin Laden was a "wag the dog scenario"? The only one who talked about bin Laden was Clinton. I am not going along with it being his #1 priority, but to say he was totally unconcerned is a lie.

Retconning only works, if it works at all, on TV.
