Nadine, you need to look up the history of Lindzen's compatriots in AGW bashing and their long campaign to deny that smoking was linked to cancer. Same clowns, same Think Tanks, same methods, same "science", etc. Draw a conclusion or two.

Lindzen himself could be taken more seriously in climate science when he learns to stop making stupid statements at paid speaking gigs, where he loves to say: Ah, those climate scientists can't predict the weather two weeks from now, why would you believe any of their claims about the climate 50 years from now?

If he keeps saying things which put him in fool territory, because his audience is too stupid to know they are listening to a knave who they've paid to say such things, then it should hardly be a surprise that the scientific community dismisses him. However, as I've pointed out above, he is following some well worn paths.
