Everyone is tainted by the time they get to a run for the presidency. the public demands it and causes it. I would remind you that Nixon beat Macgovern by 49 states to 1. so how did the public get that one wrong? kennedy barely beat Nixon and look at how we view Kennedy today and how we view Nixon. The public demands that their politicians lie to them or they will not vote for them e.g. gay bashing and pro life. So for a good man, or woman, to become president for the greater good they do need to make some Macheavillian existential decisions, I am sure they do not like. If Obama and his wife Michelle are not good, decent, and intelligent people, at there very core, then I am a fool.
