I no longer own edvmf and no longer follow it. I dont want to rant on and on but the company completely disregarded shareholders in its decision to change its disclosure policies to give unfair advantages to insiders in the evaluation of the company. They stopped offering monthly navs and give very selective disclosure about what they are invested in at any given time. I chose not to play in their sandbox anymore. Truth is I am unable to tell you if its a buy or not. I replaced them in my portfolio with plg.to and van.v and am happy I did.

I listened to the some of the conference call and reviewed the earnings release of edv.to. the results for the quarter were pretty mediocre. the big shocker was disclosure that 60% of investments were in latin america. the way i calculated the nav is to look at cash and investments and divide that by dilluted shares gives me about $7.30 NAV. I have no clue as to what the investment bank is actually worth so didnt attach value for it.
Given the black box nature of the investment, there isnt a good reason for me to put money into edv.to at this time. Especially since management no longer has any credibility. I would much rather be invested in companies where I know what the assets are.
There is also a potential for liability for putting together deals the go south such as uranium one that is hard to assess.
I continue to get the feeling that this is a cow from which managment is skimming the cream.
