I expect that not even Moveon.org will be stupid enough to run another "betray-us" ad this time around. As for Senators Clinton and Obama, unable to call Petraeus a liar again, they'll be forced to carp about unsustainable costs. Expect Senator McCain to use the word 'victory' a lot.

picked this up from The Corner: the NYT managed to squeeze three lines into its online edition about the latest Medal of Honor winner. Short as the article was, they had to go back and correct two errors:

Medal of Honor for Navy Seal in Iraq
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: April 1, 2008
Correction Appended

A member of the Navy Seals who threw himself on a grenade in Iraq to save his comrades will be posthumously awarded the nation’s highest military tribute, the Medal of Honor, the White House announced. Petty Officer Second Class Michael A. Monsoor, 25, of Garden Grove, Calif., was part of a sniper team in Ramadi in 2006 when an insurgent threw a grenade at him, the Navy said. He was the fourth person to receive the honor since the beginning of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

This article has been revised to reflect the following correction:

Correction: April 4, 2008
A headline on a report in the World Briefing column on Tuesday about a posthumous Medal of Honor for Michael A. Monsoor, a member of the Navy Seals who threw himself on a grenade in Iraq to save his colleagues, misstated his rank. He was a petty officer second class; he was not a commissioned “Navy Officer.” Because of an editing error, the report also misstated the number of people who have received the honor since the beginning of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Petty Officer Monsoor became the fourth, not the fifth.

Lindy Bill

I wish to point out that Obama has taken one question which he says was asked of General Petraeus by Senator Warner as follows that he, Obama, will later use for political purpose.

"Mr. obama told reporters on his plane on Friday: "We still don't have a good answer to the question posed by Senator Warner the last time General Petraeus appeared. How has this effort in Iraq made us safer? And how do we expect that it will make us safer in the long term?""

Obama is taking Warner's statement out of context-------what else did Warner say surrounding this question.

Obama is doing the classical political ploy which is to ally his name with the Senior Senator of Virginia and will later use this connection to make it seem as though he and Senator Warner are in agreement.

During the Primary here in Virginia, Senator Warner gave a glowing endorsement of John McCain for President with his personal remarks.

This is a question being set up for political purposes for Obama's campaign-----"This is a have you stopped beating your wife question-----answer yes and you are guilty or answer no and you are guilty."

Looking forward to your expert opinion after you watch the testimony.
