Look, Rolla, I am playing with you and must stop as a guilty conscience is overtaking my pursuit of devilish fun.

Mq is someone I respect enormously. He is not an agent of anyone but himself and definitely does not work for any shadowy bank or expects a paycheck from one for posting here.

Your accusations are way off the mark.

Mq likes to play, just as I was playing with you by agreeing with your comments about Mq which, trust me, are all wet. My comments were designed to wake up Mq from whatever torpor he might have been in when he read my post - we do that kind of thing.

Mq will often speak tongue in cheek, as I occasionally do, but he is much more skilled at disguising it than I am.

You have no history with Mq. If you did, you would not be making the comments you made.

Hint: this is a very diverse, very amiable and generous place, with folks who rarely attack each other in a serious kind of way. We give and take but at the core are very tolerant of everyone's viewpoints which are often diametrically opposed. The glue that more or less holds us together is an interest in macroeconomics, global trends and, less so, a belief that the global financial system is at risk thanks to an extraordinary amount of leverage. Most of us are devising - and sharing - strategies to profit from the unwinding of this leverage, though some are still unconvinced.

You are new, so I thought I would drop the hint.

Okay Rolla, you caught me fair and square. I have in fact had communications with CFR, specifically the Managing Editor of Foreign Affairs, foreignaffairs.org

Here is some background on "Foreign Affairs" youtube.com

But our secret communications were fully legal and even somewhat public, though unpublished.

I have been lax lately and haven't checked in there for a while. Thank you for reminding me to have a look and see if there are any coded instructions for me.

Now, I really have to get outa here.

Rolla, I should also admit that I have had dealings with Bernard Schwartz who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, meeting him for discussions in Geneva in 1999 during the launch of Globalstar service at Telecom99. Also subsequently, and he personally paid me a certain [substantial] amount of money, of which I prefer not to disclose the amount.

Bernie Schwartz here: en.wikipedia.org

But tell me, how on Earth did you deduce my Council on Foreign Relations associations, which I thought nobody knew?

I am not however, a member of the CFR. At this time, I prefer not to disclose my political and other associations to you. Suffice to say that China had better watch their step in ethical behaviour. They would NOT want to get in my bad books.
