And don't forget that Bill C got elected. He was about as straightforward a BS Artiste as there is, and dog gone if they didn't vote for him.



In 1992 Bill was a two term governor and a policy wonk besides. That was part of his charm, he could go from schmooze to details and back. And he handled himself wonderfully with crowds.

Obama is a magnificent orator, but he is a remote figure. It hasn't really shown up in his coverage yet, but I think it will.
