It is still a diversified index but it can be that its relevance is shrinking. More than ever I notice the disconnect between EUR USD and other pairs.
It seems that a lot of currency is now traded against the EUR, most importantly EUR JPY and the pound.

An EUR Index would be interesting, it would clearly show how expensive the currency became as it continues to rise against JPY, USD and even the GBP:

One, showing the EUR valued against a basket. I guess it is unpublished because it would require continuous readjustments (downward) of the USD share.
