Well to go to Brazil to pay for sex is not my idea of fun. It's just not really necessary.

Without a doubt, drugs are a big problem in Brazil, especially in the favalas. In the Zona Sul areas I never saw any signs of it in public. No one ever approached me to solicit drugs. Women soliciting sex in places like Copacabana were pleasant about it. The key to Brazil is not to appear too smug and be a little tolerant.

All the drunks I saw in Brazil were characters and hyper-friendly. I never saw one serious anti-social behavior (besides one guy puking) even at Carnival in Rio. I would go into establishments and they often loved to engage me.
